Mohammed Saif

Assistant Professor

Mohammed Saif joined the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in 2025 as an Assistant Professor. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the School of Engineering, The University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2020. He received the B.Eng. degree in Computer and Communication engineering from Taiz University, Yemen, in 2010, and the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, in 2017. From 2020 to 2022, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Electrical Engineering Department at UBC, Canada, and from 2023 to 2025, he was NSERC postdoctoral research and teaching fellow in the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada.

  • Signal processing and wireless communications
  • Reconfigurable intelligent surface for wireless networks, moving antenna, digital twin, federated learning
  • MIMO radar signal processing
