EE 8114 - Course Projects
(Each project shall be exclusively done for the course EE 8114 only )

Example Term Paper - 1 - This paper was presented at the Canadian Conference of Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2005).

Example Term Paper - 2 - This paper was presented at the Canadian Conference of Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE 2004).

Project topics can be obtained by searching research databases available from the Ryerson University Library web site. Most important ones are: IEEE Explore and Engineering Village 2. First select and appropriate research article, look at the scheme described there. Can you thinks of a better one? or do a comparison between two different schemes? Then you have a viable project. Discuss the problem with the professor and then you can finalize the topic.

You may also pick an appropriate topic by browsing the following E-books:

Current Research Trends in Optical Networks

Optical Wireless Communications

Emerging Optical Network Technologies

Fiber Optic Sensors

Radio over Fiber Networks - An emerging area where wireless radio and fiber optic networks meet

Simulation Environment:

Simulation can also be done in MATLAB ® or in any other suitable software. The results should be transparent to the software used for simulation.
